March 6th was Aiden's 4th Birthday. I can't believe how old he is getting! He is my buddy. He loves being a big brother and looks up to Jon. He LOVES ranch dressing (on everything). He loves sports (especially when he watches them with his Dad). He is tough and sensitive and loving. He will protect the one being pushed around by others. I just love Aiden so much, Happy Birthday Buddy!

Sophia at Two Weeks Old!

I Love babies all babies! I have a few of my own and I know how important it is to get photos of them as they grow, they change so much in just the first few weeks. This is Sophia at two weeks. She is almost as big as my two month old. Congratulations guys, she is beautiful!

This past year I have been mostly a wedding photographer. This year I am limiting my weddings and taking on a few different photography jobs. One that I just love is birth photography. Another photographer and I are starting a birth photography partnership called Pea and Pod Photography. If you know someone or if you are soon to be having a little baby let me know! Jon turning FIVE!

My oldest son turned Five on January 16th. I can not believe how fast time seemed to speed up upon his birth. It is truly amazing watching a child grow and develop. I feel so blessed to have four healthy and happy little boys. As Jon has become a big brother three times, he seems to just grow and nurture each of them in such a wonderful gentle way. He starts school this year, in one way it is wonderful and in others it means I won't have him around all the time. I love you Jon so much, you are such a blessing to me and your Dad!

Kirstin and Adam were married at Crags Lodge in Estes Park. It was such a beautiful wedding. And they are such a cool couple and they both have really wonderful families. I had so much fun photographing their day for them. Congratulations guys you are perfect together!

Rocco Anthony is here!

A new addition to my family. Rocco Anthony Valentine decided to come early! He was born on December 20th at 4:30 am he weighed 6 lbs 4 oz and was 18 inch long. After I shot my last wedding for the season I went up to my hotel room and started getting ready for bed when I realized that I was in labor. I still needed to shoot a post wedding shoot with Kirstin and Adam, but knew I should get down to Denver before it was too late. Reva my younger sister drove me down the mountains from Estes Park not the most fun drive in the dark while your sister is in labor. Great job Reva getting me to the hospital, thank you! Kirstin and Adam were so wonderful about it all, thank you guys! Rocco is truly a blessing and I am so happy God decided to give him to us early, both Chad and My Families were able to meet him. Rocco and I have been through a lot together this year and I can't wait to see what awaits us as he grows! Gia my twin sister gave us some great photos of our family and Rocco. Last December 27th I had the opportunity to photograph Rick and Holly's wedding. It was so cold but they braved it and we got some great photos of them outside the Brown Palace downtown.

This December 11th I had the opportunity to meet their new little boy. He is so cute and alert. I love babies! Enjoy his smile and beautiful eyes.

Holly is a school teacher and put all the letters to the alphabet on one of the walls. I love this idea and I have literally wanted to do something like this from the time my oldest was a newborn. Great idea Holly, I might just use it for my newest little guy!

Thankfulness

As I am getting ready for our family trip to LA I wanted to post a blog of Thankfulness. 2009 has been a year filled with ups and downs. I lost my father on May 9th. He passed away on his 60th birthday after a long 3 year battle with leukemia. We had had a falling out and in the end we worked things out, I am so thankful for that. Such a great blessing it was to be able to talk to him in his last few months.
I am thankful for my husband, who does so much for his family and has been so supportive through everything this year. Making 6 trips to NY to be with my father and bringing the boys to see him, sometimes flying by himself with the three boys or driving with them by himself. Amazing. I don't know how many people could do that and he did.
I am thankful for my three wonderful boys; Jonathan, Aiden and Preston. God truly blessed me with them. I couldn't image going through life without their little smiles, sayings or hugs.
I am thankful for Rocco, who will be here soon and I can't wait to meet him and see how amazingly he adds to our family.
I am thankful for my Mom, Reva, Gia, Matt and Jimmy, I have an awesome family!

As this year is coming to an end I wanted to have a new start to my blog. I will be keeping the old blog open so you may still look at my work on that but all new work will be posted on this blog!

Saturday Nov 21st I am shooting at City Park in Denver and Sunday Nov 22nd I am shooting at the Park/Pathway near the Denver Children's Museum. It is $50 and that will get you 30 mins of photography coverage, the cd of digital negatives and one 8x10 inch print! As you can see I do offer Christmas cards that can be customized to your needs.
